Hi, my name is Hope Summers and I am 16 (almost 17 in 9 months). My birthday is New Year’s Day but yesterday wasn't really my birthday because in the real world it’s April. And also it’s 2031. I don’t understand why you are all in the past or why everyone is so young but I guess that’s why they call it an alternate dimension.
I wanted to write here and say I’m sorry for wrecking your house. It was because I didn’t know if you might be evil and I really needed to get to Cerebro because my dad is missing - but you aren’t evil and you don’t have Cerebro so both things were wrong. I never knew about X-Men who didn’t have Cerebro, even if Uncle Charles doesn’t live here anymore because you sent him to live on an island. I hope he’s okay out there.
Anyway I am really sorry about your house and I will try to help fix it.
Anyway I am from another dimension where things aren’t as nice but we do have Cerebro. I’ll be going back soon once I find my dad or he finds me - this is probably part of his mission plan. Not me wrecking your house, just me being here while Dad gets things done. He didn’t tell me exactly. But while I’m here I’m staying with Rogue (Marie), not in the medlab anymore because they’re sure now I didn’t bring any weird diseases with me. (I told them that.)
Also I didn’t mean to fight anyone. I know fighting is only by consent here. I wasn’t trying to fight, I was trying to sneak in, but everyone was home.
My power is copying powers and it should be working again now so I want to try everything before I leave. If you have a cool power please let me try it. Probably outside though. For safety.
I can help with X-Men missions, please let me know. I have done recon (that is reconnaissance) and retrieving parts for things from hostile territory and once I helped with a hostage situation when Auntie Clary was busy somewhere else. I have the jacket so I don’t need one of those.
Some questions. When do I get assigned work shifts? What is the sentry schedule? Do you have the little monsters in the lake here, and where are the spearguns in case they have a mating season while I am here? When there is a dimensional incursion, what is the emergency procedure? Who is in charge if we are attacked by unknown entities (or known ones), and what is the chain of command? Do you have the bug people here or did they stay in Australia?
Thank you. We don’t have this voice thing where I’m from, or these tiny computers. Or the internet but I heard about it from Grandma (that’s Jean to you guys). It seems very convenient.

PS. If you have seen my dad please let me know. He is very tall and has a techno-organic arm (don't worry it's not contagious) and a glowy eye when he uses his powers, and also white hair. He is probably on an important mission that he forgot to tell me about that I'm supposed to help with.
