I don't know. Flying sounds cool. Unless the wings wear off while you're way up high. Actually, flying when your wings can fall off sounds terrible.

That's why I have to have a timer on me if I'm ever flying. Or teleporting. Or mostly doing anything because Grandma says she couldn't live with herself if I killed myself by not paying attention and she also says that's the way I'm most likely to die

But you can fly without wings and it's GREAT - you don't need wings to fly

They just kinda get absorbed back in which is nice because that other stuff would be super gross! And it hurts WAY less than when they manifest

Physical stuff really hurts because Grandma says I'm growing new nerves and incorporating them into my nervous system and also changing my existing nervous system and all of that happens while the nerves are active - but it's fine if I have to, I just think it should be for something better than big old wings

A LOT aren't!! Like energy projection or psionics or flying or super strength. It really only hurts if I'm growing new stuff, especially if it's a big complex mutation or whatever. Changes to just things like hair color don't hurt. And shapeshifting is different because shapeshifters usually have a painkilling/nerve-blocking thing happening so it doesn't hurt when they shift!
